Specific Gravity Seperator

A gravity separator is a precision seed-cleaning machine that separates seeds based on differences in density, weight, and size. Unlike sieve-based cleaners, it uses vibration and controlled airflow to stratify and separate seeds, making it highly effective for removing lightweight, immature, or damaged seeds.

The machine consists of a decks (tables) with a porous surface, tilted slightly, and subjected to vibration and upward airflow.

Key Steps in Separation:

Feeding & Stratification

Seeds are fed onto the deck.

Airflow fluidizes the seed bed, causing heavier seeds to settle at the bottom while lighter seeds float to the top.
